I acknowledge and agree that Prepaid Electric Service requires payment before electricity is used.
I acknowledge and agree that I will not receive a monthly bill. It is my obligation to be aware of my account balance. Account history (usage, charges, and payment) will be available via the website, app, and daily text/email messages. I am responsible for managing and updating the notification settings on my prepaid account. If my contact numbers are not current, I will not receive notifications, and service may be disconnected as a result.
I acknowledge and agree my account balance will be reduced each day by the amount of electric charges I incur under my standard Rate Schedule and under the Prepaid Electric Service Rider.
I acknowledge and agree that if my prepaid balance reaches $0.00 or below, my electric service may be automatically disconnected without further notice.
I acknowledge and agree that when my account is disconnected, fixed charges (monthly service charge, security light charge, etc.) under my standard Rate Schedule and the Prepaid Electric Service Rider continue to accumulate and will be deducted from the next payment for electric service.
I acknowledge and agree that disconnection for non-payment does not release me from the obligation to pay daily fixed charges or other costs I have incurred.
I acknowledge and agree that reconnection will occur only after I make a payment equal to the overdrawn amount plus a $20.00 minimum credit balance.
I acknowledge and agree reconnection will occur without notice after sufficient payment is made and may be subject to processing times.
I acknowledge and agree I am responsible for monitoring my account balance and usage regularly.
I acknowledge and agree that I am eligible for the Prepaid Electric Service Rider and I do not have any resident at this service address who has any medical condition that requires continuous electric service.
I acknowledge and agree that if at any time any resident at this service address develops a medical condition that requires continuous electric service, it is my responsibility to notify Whitewater Valley REMC and complete all required paperwork for medical necessity and that I will no longer be eligible to take service under the Prepaid Electric Service Rider.
I acknowledge and agree standard rates, fees, and cooperative policies still apply unless otherwise stated.
I acknowledge and agree All equipment installed to provide PES remains the property of Whitewater Valley REMC. The member is responsible for damage to any Whitewater Valley REMC equipment installed at the service location.
I acknowledge and agree to assume full responsibility for and hold harmless and indemnify Whitewater Valley REMC from any liability for any costs, claims, damages, and legal fees (including but not limited to costs, claims, damages, and legal fees arising from personal injury, death, or property damage) relating to, resulting from, or in any way connected to: (i) my election to take Prepaid Electric Service Rider; or (ii) the disconnection or reconnection of my electric service without notice while participating in Prepaid Electric Service.
*Enrollment in prepaid service requires all agreement boxes to be checked.
